A reminder, some feedback please & becoming an alumni

Celebration Assembly:

The votes will be counted and verified next week for Mr Kyberd to then reveal the Class of 2017 award winners in your celebration assembly this Wednesday 21st June 1.00 - 3.00pm.

Please note the following:

  • On arrival please assemble with your tutor in your normal registration room.

  • Following a short time with your tutor Mr Kyberd will ask one form at a time to make your way to the main hall for the assembly

  • The assembly has a formal start and you are asked to wear uniform appropriately or risk not being allowed entrance

  • Shirt signing is a tradition at WPS but we ask that students wait until the end of the assembly - time will be provided!

  • Please also think ahead - many of you have exams beyond this date and will need at least one 'clean' shirt!

  • The assembly will finish in time to allow you to catch the normal school buses home

  • If you have ordered a hooded top it is hoped that these will be available for collection on this date

  • Year books will be handed out when you collect your results in the Summer.

Exam Feedback:

The exam team would appreciate your feedback on your experience during this Summer exam season.  Please spend 5 minutes completing this form.

Although many of you will be returning to Sixth Form in September some of you will be heading in new directions and I would like you all to consider joining our growing alumni network.

“But why should we sign up?” you might ask.

Firstly, please note we’re not going to be checking up on you or spamming you with information – it’s just a way for you to stay connected and hear about opportunities to get involved if you want to later down the line.

Here are a few reasons you might sign up:

  • Staying connected: Updates on school news, upcoming events.

  • Getting a job: We can tell you about jobs and other good opportunities for you to get involved with.

  • Giving something back: Even after you have left, you can still get involved with things you enjoy i.e. coaching a sports team or editing the termly magazine.

  • Helping others: Keep in touch and, a little further down the line, you might be able to share your experiences with students in your old seats!

  • Asking for a reference.

All you need to do to sign up is add an alternative email address (not your school account!) to the exam feedback form mentioned above.
